{"id":3246,"date":"2022-11-04T11:53:54","date_gmt":"2022-11-04T10:53:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.investinclm.com\/?p=3246\/"},"modified":"2026-04-23T11:43:29","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T09:43:29","slug":"cummins-starts-construction-of-its-electrolyzer-plant-in-guadalajara","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.investinclm.com\/en\/cummins-starts-construction-of-its-electrolyzer-plant-in-guadalajara\/","title":{"rendered":"Cummins begins construction of electrolyzer plant in Guadalajara"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3030 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.investinclm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/fabrica-electrolizadores-Cummins-Guadalajara.jpg\" alt=\"Cummins begins construction of electrolyzer plant in Guadalajara\" width=\"1024\" height=\"988\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Last Friday, October 28, took place the groundbreaking ceremony of the new factory of the American company Cummins in Guadalajara, which will manufacture electrolyzers for the production of green hydrogen.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The event was attended by a wide range of institutional representatives: the Third Vice President of the Government and Minister for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, Teresa Ribera; the President of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano Garc\u00eda-Page; the President of the Cortes, Pablo Bellido; as well as the Ministers of Economy, Business and Employment, Patricia Franco, and Sustainable Development, Jos\u00e9 Luis Escudero; the delegate of the Regional Government in Guadalajara, Eusebio Robles, and the Mayor of the city, Alberto Rojo, together with representatives of the North American company, including its Vice-President, Alexey Ustinov.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The plant, which will be used for the assembly and testing of the electrolyzers (with a production capacity of 500 megawatts (MW) of electrolyzers per year), is expected to start operations in early 2024. The land chosen by the U.S. company is located in the El Ruise\u00f1or industrial park, in the municipality of Guadalajara. <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The project, which will entail an investment of around 80 million euros and will generate 150 highly qualified jobs in its initial phase, and another 200 staff positions as production progresses, is strategic for Castilla-La Mancha, as it strengthens the region&#8217;s leading position in the green hydrogen industry.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">During the ceremony, the head of the Castile-La Mancha Executive, Emiliano Garc\u00eda-Page, acknowledged the work of the regional administration in bringing this project to Guadalajara.
