IPEX’s investment attraction department is participating in Logistics Spain, the 1st International Trade Fair for the logistics and transport industry, to be held in Guadalajara on April 5, 6 and 7.
Patricia Franco, Minister of Business, Economy and Employment, has inaugurated the first edition of Logistics Spain, International Fair of the logistics industry that promotes Guadalajara and Castilla – La Mancha as an international power in the sector.
Logistics Spain is the international initiative of reference for the development and growth of the Logistics and Transport sector, promoted by CEOE-CEPYME Guadalajara; the Provincial Council of Guadalajara; the City Council of Guadalajara and the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha.
This fair is a meeting point for the main players in the sector: public institutions, land owners, operators, supply chain, technology companies, entrepreneurs, suppliers and transporters.
During the event, all the participating authorities highlighted the role of the logistics sector as one of the driving forces of the La Mancha region’s economy.
The Minister of Economy, Business and Employment has recalled that the region has declared logistics as one of the priority sectors of economic development for Castilla-La Mancha through the Priority Projects Act, and has highlighted the weight of logistics activity in attracting foreign investment projects. “Since 2015, we have attracted 133 international investment projects for the region, and 36 of them, one in four, have to do with logistics activity,” said Patricia Franco, who also pointed out that half of these projects have had or have as their destination in the region the province of Guadalajara.
