The Investment Incentives Department of IPEX will participate in Logistics Spain, the 1st International Fair for the Logistics and Transport Industry, which will be held in Guadalajara on April 5, 6 and 7.

Patricia Franco, Counselor of Economy, Business and Employment, has inaugurated the first edition of Logistics Spain, an international fair for the logistics industry that promotes Guadalajara and Castilla-La Mancha as an international power in the sector.

Logistics Spain is the international reference initiative for the development and growth of the logistics and transport sector promoted by CEOE-CEPYME Guadalajara, the Provincial Council of Guadalajara, the Guadalajara City Council and the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha.

This fair is a meeting point for the main players in the sector: public entities, land owners, operators, supply chains, technology companies, entrepreneurs, suppliers or shippers.

During the event, all participating authorities have highlighted the role of the logistics sector as one of the engines of the economy of Castilla-La Mancha.

The Counselor of Economy, Business and Employment recalled that the region has declared logistics as one of the priority sectors for the economic development of Castilla-La Mancha through the Priority Projects Law, underlining the weight of logistics activities in attracting foreign investment projects. “Since 2015, we have recorded 133 international investment projects for the region, and 36 of them, or one in four, have to do with logistics activities,” said Patricia Franco, who also pointed out that half of these projects have had or have the province of Guadalajara as a destination.
