The international food and beverage fair welcomes visitors from 198 countries

The Regional Government, through IPEX, attends the fair in Cologne to take advantage of the presence of more than 7,500 exhibitors to promote Castilla-La Mancha as a destination for growth and investment for the food industry.

Madrid, October 7, 2019 – The Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha through IPEX (the Institute for Foreign Promotion) travels to Cologne for the new edition of Anuga, the largest food and beverage fair in Europe, to present the opportunities that the region offers to agri-food companies.
The fair, which celebrates its 100th edition this year, will host over 7,500 exhibitors and more than 165,000 visitors from 198 countries. The Regional Government is taking advantage of the international dimension of the fair to hold a series of meetings with national and international companies and investors interested in growing in Spain.
Owing to its various incentives and commercial development plans, as well as to its strategic logistic location, Castilla-La Mancha has become an ideal partner for agri-food companies looking to expand their activity to Spain. The IPEX team has arranged meetings with over a dozen companies, as well as several interesting meetings with foreign companies already present in the region as part of their “after care” program.
Anuga Cologne, which is being held from the 5th to the 9th of October in the fairgrounds of Cologne, includes the participation of Paraguay as a partner country. A total of 738 German companies are participating, along with 6,852 businesses from the rest of the world.
