The Regional Government, through IPEX, takes advantage of the most international edition of SIL to promote Castilla-La Mancha as a destination of growth and investment for the logistics and transportation sectors.

Madrid, 28 June 2019. The Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, by way of IPEX (The Foreign Promotion Institute), attends the 21st edition of the International Logistics Fair (SIL) celebrated in Barcelona from June 26th-28th to showcase the opportunities for growth and investment in the logistics and transportation sectors.
With the assistance of Javier Rosell Pérez, Acting General Director of Businesses, Competitiveness, and Internationalization, the Regional Government is taking advantage of the international nature of the fair to develop a business meeting agenda with national and international companies and investors who are interested in growing in Spain.
The International Logistics Fair, which is celebrating its 21st edition, expects to welcome nearly 700 participating companies and over 200 speakers, with representation from more than 50 countries. The number of foreign companies in the logistics sector in Castilla-La Mancha has been growing over the past few years due to the investment opportunities in the region, thanks to the different economic incentives, as well as the Regional Government’s commitment to fostering the attraction of international companies.
An example of this capacity for attraction is the Central Iberium Platform (PCI), through which the General Director of Businesses, Competitiveness, and Internationalization was able to discover first-hand the latest developments. Situated in Illescas, Toledo, the Central Iberium Platform is a logistics and industrial area covering more than 3.5 million m2, strategically located in the heart of the Iberian Peninsula. Other companies such as Toyota, Michelin, FM Logistic, Amazon, and Airbus already have installations in the area.
