Castile – La Mancha has an entire support network which encourages research, development and innovation. This mainly centres around the regional University and its associate centres.
Research & Development
In Castile – La Mancha, technology innovation is centred in the Science and Technology park (HQ in Albacete and Guadalajara), as well as in the national and regional research centres, with the main focus being renewable energies.
However, within the region, it is private companies that spend the most on R&D, since this represents more than half of total domestic expenditure generated in the region. The companies in Castile – La Mancha that invest in R&D are not only those with a long history, but also new companies founded in the region that base their business in R&D.
