Hannover Messe, the leading international trade fair for industrial development and transformation, has successfully concluded its 2024 edition, once again standing out as the centre of the latest technologies and industrial trends worldwide. Castilla-La Mancha showed a strong focus on sustainability, green energy and industrial innovation through the participation of the Investment Attraction Department of the Foreign Trade and Investment Institute of Castilla-La Mancha (IPEX). The exhibition served as a unique platform to showcase the region’s leadership in these areas and to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing in key sectors such as automation, Industry 4.0 and renewable energy.

Together with IPEX, there was the National Hydrogen Centre (CNH2). The combination of both teams at the same stand was a focal point for companies and visitors interested in emerging hydrogen technology and investments. Companies from various sectors explored opportunities and synergies in the hydrogen sector, from large corporations to early stage startups looking for support for their growth.

This year’s edition attracted around 130,000 visitors from 150 countries, along with the participation of 4,000 exhibiting companies, 300 start-ups and more than 300 economic and political delegations from all over the world.

The opening ceremony was attended by leading political figures such as Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, Olaf Scholz, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Jonas Gahr Støre, Prime Minister of Norway, the guest country for 2024.

During the event, the Castilla-La Mancha stand received numerous visits and meetings. One of the most important visits was that of Pilar Muñoz-Juncosa, Trade Commissioner of the Spanish Economic and Trade Office in Berlin, who underlined the relevance of the region’s presence at this international forum.
